firecat...then go to the Contemporary Crafts Market at Fort Mason (10am to 6pm, Festival Pavilion, $6 entry fee).
It's one of the best craft shows I've been to, in terms of variety and quality. And it was not at all crowded (sadly for the artists, but happily for me, as I get a bit claustrophobic in crowds).
