Delicious! :) The Lord Peter books are very good, but the Lord Peter/Harriet Vane books are the *best*. I've lost count of the number of times I've read them.
Squee!! Have His Carcase. Whose Body? Murder Must Advertise. Gaudy Night. Clouds of Witness. Lord Peter Views the Body. Strong Poison. The Nine Tailors. The Unpleasantness at the Bellona Club. Just a few of my favorites. (Get the stories, too!!!)
But I imagine you come across a number of people who are disconcerted by the difference between what you do feel and what they fancy you ought to feel. It is fatal to pay the smallest attention to them."
Oh, yes, Dorothy Sayers is absolutely lovely. I've been listening to audio versions of her books, read by the delightful Ian Carmichael, and in the process she's become one of my favourite authors.
Not all Sayers books are equal, however, and I agree that the ones with Harriet Vane are best.
