I don't know if you ever read the Sci Fi book series by Annie Leckie that includes Ancillary Justice but it reminds me of that where the character is the ship itself (as well as individual clones). Very fun.

That's a really fun story. I especially like the patience while the person asking the questions finally gets that they should be supportive, rather than combative.
