This vodka ad starring Daniel Craig as “himself” and featuring Taika Waititi makes me absolutely gleeful. As Kitty on Lucifer didn’t quite say, it’s “like porn and my Hello Kitty blanket and a stuffed crust pizza all rolled up into one.” Includes a blooper reel.

I discovered the Belvedere ad through a tweet which said "If you liked Weapon of Choice you'll love..." I sent it to gridlore and his immediate response was "I want to see them in something together now."

Craig doesn't have the same sheer joy and bonkers-ness of Weapon of Choice with Walken. Also, I think Walken's a better dancer between the two of them, so he makes his particular "dance through the hotel" sequence work better.

But yes, the ad is definitely supposed to evoke the feelings of Weapon of Choice.

Craig has a lot of joy and bonkers-ness for Craig though. I love how he does 99.93% of it in his cranky Bond face but occasionally cracks a smile or flounces.

I could watch Weapon of Choice thousands of times and never get tired of it.

The Belvedere video is enjoyable and a worthy spiritual successor, but it doesn't have quite the same energy and joy as the original.

To me, the Belvedere vid reads much more "look at how sexy I am" than Weapon of Choice, while admittedly being less highly skilled dancing as such. I enjoy them both.
