That film, to me, has the worst German-to-English title translation I've ever heard. A very thoughtful pun in the German (the sky over Berlin / heaven over Berlin) ended up sounding like a bad romance novel in English. Which is odd, because most of the bad title translations I know actually go the other way.

I agree! But the English subtitles don't seem so bad, overall (then again, my knowledge of German is fairly sketchy).

Well, I'm not halfway around the world, but, well, yeah. And if we watched it at the same time in our separate living-rooms, that wouldn't be quite the same as watching it together.
