[livejournal.com profile] hfnuala pointed us to this full entry about geeky books written by women:
http://www.livejournal.com/users/cassiphone/32974.html
It includes a shortlist of 21 (which I posted about here) and "a long list of all the suggested works (122)"

So here I go again with the "bolding stuff I've read".
And as always I'm open to hearing arguments why I should read the ones I haven't read.

Looking at this list, I'm extremely puzzled that "geek" seems to equate to "science fiction and fantasy of all kinds." If I were listing geek books by women, I'd include Laurie Garrett's THE COMING PLAGUE and Dava Sobel's GALILEO'S DAUGHTER, to pick two examples off my shelves, before even thinking about Andre Norton or Robin McKinley (two authors I enjoy).

Next time you're in BookBuyers Mountain View, look in the children's book section and you'll find AWIT.
