Herewith is my favorite post in the "Things I Learn From My Patients" Emergency Medicine thread on Student Doctor Network Forums.

http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showpost.php?p=3245546&postcount=873

Warning, some of the other posts in the thread are gross, very gory, NWS, etc. (The above link is OK. Eta: But still sarcastic and containing descriptions of injuries.)

(I got obsessed with the thread last night and read all 36 pages.)

Datapoint: While I have no doubt that much of the rest is much, much worse, that actually did exceed my "OK" threshold. (I maybe just shouldn't have clicked--I think I was expecting insights on doctor-patient interaction or something like that, not an accident story.)

I read through the whole thing a few days ago. Damn, it's funny. And sick.

I'm planning to read all 36 pages, too!!! These are hysterically funny.

I am not obsessive

I obviously am not obsessive, I stopped reading just before the end of the last page. :)

I worked as a pediatric ER Nurse for three years, and I have stories that I still find to be unbelievable, even though I witnessed them first hand.
