Date: 10 Jul 2006 08:24 pm (UTC)Cat dominance exists but is quite unlike dog and human dominance, from my limited observations of local felines. There seem to be complex rules and habits. For example, my cats will sleep together on the bed during the day, and sleep in separate parts of the bed when the OH and I are sleeping, but in the evening when the OH and I are in bed, before we go to sleep, they will only visit one at a time and take turns. sometimes one leaves if the other arrives, and sometimes one chases the other away - maybe because s/he arrives "too early".
