The OH and I put the movie Underworld on our Netflix queue even though it had bad reviews, because we figured it would have a good eye candy quotient and I'm pretty non-picky about vampire movies.

It turned out better than we expected. But the real find was the co-writer, Kevin Grevioux. He also plays
the big tough werewolf character, Rave, who shows up at the beginning of the movie.

I looked him up on IMDB and it turns out that along with being a writer and actor, he's got a degree in microbiology and he's a big comic book fan. He has started some comic book imprints. I'm reading his autobiography on his web site, http://www.kevingrevioux.net/ and I like what he has to say about getting his start in Hollywood and other topics. He has a funny, low-key writing style that reminds me a bit of J. Michael Straczynski (the creator of Babylon 5).

Seems like someone worth keeping an eye on.

It was on sale at the grocery store recently, and we bought and watched it. The fight sequences went on in such a way that i was aware they were going on and wanting to get on with the story, but it was a pretty movie. We did joke that it was Romeo & Juliet.
