tell me something good?
4 Oct 2006 02:53 pmI'm feeling discouraged right now after reading a whole lot of bad news, which you probably already know about. If you feel like it, tell me about something good in your world.
Some good in my world:
I have enjoyable work.
I have two wonderful healthy cats.
I love and am loved. By the same people for the most part even.
My health problems aren't bothering me today.
I had a good education and I put it to good use.
I know a bunch of smart, compassionate, involved people.

Date: 5 Oct 2006 12:06 am (UTC)I also got Jo Walton's The Prize in the Game, which I'll read as soon as I'm done with Wintersmith. I didn't get Farthing, though I was exceedingly tempted; I'll probably pick that up soonsoonsoon.
I also also got tickets (one "free" with the book, one for $3) to see Terry Pratchett at the UW on Friday the 13th, which is somehow amusing to me. I'll finally get to ask him the burning question about Gaspode I've been harboring for years... though I probably won't ask him about the Patrician and Vimes; I'm afraid that he won't answer, and I'm afraid that he will answer, and as much as I'm terribly impatient to find out, deep down I'd really rather wait and see what he comes up with. Although I have to admit that I'm really really hoping that it'll be like what I'm predicting.
... and I haven't had any eggs for a week and I feel so much better, haven't had any "mystery glutenings" in all this time. I was going to try egg re-introduction today, but enh, I didn't feel like it. So tomorrow, I'll have an egg - or maybe two (hard-boiled, probably, or scrambled) - and we'll see what happens. But that's tomorrow.
The ball of spider eggs that the mommy longlegs is carrying around in her mouth in the bathroom hasn't hatched yet, though it's looking different - getting less translucent and more greyish. I know that not everybody is as enthusiastic about baby spiders as I am, but yay baby spiders! :D Especially longlegs, which are wonderfully shy, quiet, nonthreatening spiders. Oh, and the vine plant sprog that
