I've been silent pretty much everywhere else too; it's not just limited to my journal. B complained about it today.

I don't have a particular reason. There are things going on in my life that could be contributing to more than the usual amount of depression. But the silence is not entirely depression related, or perhaps the depression is somewhat different from depressions I've had in the past.

There is a listening quality to it.

.... but when I read "the whine of various fans," I pictured the members of the Stef Fan Club sitting at your feet whining, "But Steffff! We want to plan a StefCon on your birthday! You can't go on vacation!"

It's my 40th birthday this year and I was going to plan a StefCon, but I decided I was too lazy. Maybe next year.

(My fans didn't offer to plan it for me :)
