I borrowed my dad's iPad and tried to touch-type (in landscape mode):
Mary had a little lamb; its fleece was white as snow.
The iPad has word suggestion built in. When I typed "its," the iPad suggests "it's".

The way you tell the iPad to accept the word it is suggesting is to type a space.

So much for touch-typing.

*sigh* I miss the Newton.

Heh. I caught on to the Palm's onscreen shorthand pretty quickly. If only I hadn't dropped the darn thing so many times--it should have had a wrist safety band like the Wiimote and my digital camera have.

I have trained my iPhone against the its->it's thing by use, I think that they do eventually learn. Of course, touch typing on an iPhone isn't possible anyway. Unless you're a Barbie doll!
