I got the call from the hospice nurse around 6:30. Dad and I went over for a final goodbye. Mom looked as if she had died peacefully.

May her memory be a blessing.

Sometimes with people who haven't been themselves before they die, people with dementia and Alzheimers, afterwards you get back the memory of how they used to be when they really were themselves, which is so hard to hold on to when they're alive and not.
