Is it possible to quantify the brand damage Google is doing to itself with unremitting stupid? Sheesh.

The only argument that has made sense to me for why they're doing it is "they now have shareholders."

I can tell I'm getting to be an old cynic, because my reaction to Botgirl is "our voices are already diminished in mainstream virtual discourse" - it's possible that as online society has progressed, the rules that exclude become more explicit.
