3. Birthday: This is a security question, so all I'll say is that I'm actually a Scorpio, but on the Internet, I tend to be a Capricorn.


4. Where do you live and/or time zone: I live about 25 miles south of San Francisco.


5. What are you studying/What are you working as: I make money by doing tech editing, and I'm a dilettante so I study everything that comes across my path, but mostly not in any great depth.


6. What makes you happy/hobbies: See "dilettante" above. I like to collect information, knit, read, spend time with my sweeties and friends, work with rescued animals


7. An interesting fact about you: Gah, I never know what to put for that question. If you know me, what would you say is interesting about me?


8. Are you in love/have a crush at the moment? Unless I'm in the midst of depression I tend to be in love with many things/people. I have relationships with some of the people. I usually have crushes too, but I keep them to myself unless I get a sense that the person wants to know.


9. Favorite place to be: In front of my computer at home, going by how much time I spend there.


10. A word to describe yourself: Gah, I never know what to put for that question. I would put "indescribable," but that sounds so arrogant.

FANDOM

1. Favorite Fandom(s): I'm more of a fan of fandom than a fan of any particular fandom, but some shows/books I particularly like are Babylon 5, Sherlock Holmes, Star Trek:TOS, Lord of the Rings, Ghost in the Shell


2. OTP/OT3: I don't really have them, but in B5 I prefer G'kar/Londo and in Sherlock Holmes I prefer Sherlock/John


3. Celebrities you flail over: Alan Rickman, Leonard Nimoy, Zachary Quinto, Judi Dench


4. Favorite music: I have a great fondness for Sweet ("Ballroom Blitz") because they were my original fandom. I like stuff in almost all genres. My iTunes has more classical music, classic rock, and folk than other genres.

Sure! By analogy with "OTP" as "one true pairing," "OT3" is "one true threesome/triad." Sometimes the dynamic just isn't as good with only two favorite characters; Harry/Ron/Hermione is the one I see most, but there are lots of others.

I feel like I don't know you well enough to answer the question. I would describe you to someone who didn't know you as "a scientist who likes My Little Pony" and I'd try to say something (which isn't turning into words right now) about what seems to be unique in your approach to gender presentation.

And then the person would say "OK, that describes at least 40% of Wiscon attendees..." :)

Birthday: I am reborn every morning. If you want to celebrate the anniversary of my birth, pick a day and I'll happily accept any tribute. On the other hand, for security reasons I prefer not to pick a day myself.

Where do you live and/or time zone: I live in the greater Portland (Oregon) metro area.

What are you studying/What are you working as: My day job is legal secretary, and I find it rewarding and challenging. I'm studying sewing (want to make pants, get better at the other things I've already sewn). And I have a retreat planned to figure out the rest of my life.

What makes you happy/hobbies: OMG too many things to list--although I actually keep a list of things that make me happy *right now* so that I can use them on purpose to get happy when I'm not. Some of the things on the list this week are: Kelly Clarkson (music), Craig Ferguson (television), Kelley Eskridge (novels), Avengers (movie), and Ironman/Captain American fanfic.

Favorite Fandom(s): Eek, too many to list. Nor do I really understand the question.

OTP/OT3: Changes from week to week. Right now I'm loving Captain America/Ironman (Avengers movie-verse ONLY, thank you).

Celebrities you flail over: Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Kat Dennings, Fred Waller. Some other ones too, it varies. I'm changeable!

Favorite music: I like songs more than groups/composers. Right now I'm playing "Chi me frena" from the opera Lucia de Lammermore a lot, along with some songs from O.A.R.

Do you know about http://craftsy.com? They offer online instructional video classes for very reasonable prices. I just bought one of their sewing classes. I'm watching a rank beginner class and I understood for the first time how to deal with the paper pattern inside a sewing package.
