I was recently asked to post a job ad that contained as a qualification "Empathy with a creative and technical environment." I got them to strike that line. Sadly, it was one of about 50 totally off-the-wall (and often unreasonable) lines. :/

As a person who is looking for a new job, what does that even mean? Alternatively, what does it mean to not have "empathy with..." etc.? Sounds like they had a bad employee and they're trying to write the job ad to prevent that kind of person from applying, but it's really better handled in an interview process.

What does that even mean? Although I like the idea of general empathy as a job requirement. (But how would you test it? Leave the interviewee in a room with sad puppies?)

Also: I'm pretty sure what they mean is "attracting an audience", which is very different from creating one.

nah, you forgot the monster part. They may even have some spare parts around for the author to use in creating them.
