Hey, there's a possibility of a repeat of '89. Make sure everything gets properly seismically braced. Let's go Oak-land, let's go Gi-ants! (but in any transbay conflict, I go with my birthplace, Oakland).

A transbay series would be great (assuming no earthquake). But Tigers/Giants is more exciting to me because I would be equally happy no matter who won, and that condition is really rare. If it were A's/Giants I'd root for the Giants, since I used to live in SF.

Fourth generation Oaklander here. The ghosts of my ancestors will not let me sleep if I cheered for SF over Oakland. SF over everybody *else* is a non-problem. Went to the Coliseum tonight to watch the A's put some prime 510 style smackdown on Texas.

I'm rooting for either the Orioles or the Nationals (born in Washington, and my Boston folk have been... something else, this year), but I wouldn't at all object to the Tigers/Giants. Good bunch. Really, I'm actually for "whoever beats the Yankees."

That's be cool. Although, I have to admit that the prospect of a Giants/Orioles series amuses me, as the teams have the same official team colors. Orange and Black, and the Series could be decided on Halloween.
