Missing the plus-one or like feature of certain other social media sites?

kate_nepveu has some tips for people coming to DW from G+ here.

This code (swiped from kate_nepveu) adds a plus-one feature to your post:

Or you can add a "like" instead.

Never thought of using the Poll Creator for an in-post +1 indicator (or for in-post anything, really). Think every day, though, that it'd be nice if we could have a Like (or thumbs-up) button (we already have the latter, as you might recall from one of my previous CSS forays in which I exposed comment title icons so they can be selected without clicking around to find them).

So now I'm thinking *waves smoke out of ears* if I could modify this to use DW's native (or any non-native) thumbs-up image in place of the +1, and how to force the whole thing into the bottom meta bar so it displays automatically with every post (would require an s2/Perl solution). Huh. Thank you for sharing this!

Thanks! The option's described here. I re-enabled it (sort of for old time's sake) on my DW a few minutes ago. I had hidden it after changing my style some time back, which meant adding a bazillion new break points. Finally got a minute to go look at that, though.
