Ghost Reader:
1) That male cat barb: my brother gave me a science fiction book in my early teens and I've wondered if he realized there was a scene in it where a cat alien had sex with a human slave and it was not a good time for her. The other SF books he gave didn't have any sex in it, as I recall.

Oh my, I think getting a book from a relative with a cat-human painful sex scene would be very awkward!

I have not seen that movie. Is it good?

Chicago Typewriter is a wonderful series, set both in modern and in occupied Korea. Modern: angsty haunted writer and his #1 fan, plus some relatives that come in more later. Occupied: resistance against Japanese, love that can't be, more love that can't be. Some stretched credulity and funny scenes in both times, woven together mostly well. I wish more people would watch it!
