(Not a spoiler for anyone who has seen previous Matrices.)


In Zion, they make their weapons out of yarn. Since they've been at war for 100 years, they are perpetually saving all the yarn for making weapons. That's why they all wear such ratty sweaters.

Anyway, the Matrix trilogy was a nice couple of movies.

Why is it, anyway, that a trilogy with the quality of physical detail and special effects that Matrix has can't afford a better plot? It's not like it would be even a drop in the bucket to hire a decent writer.

well, it depends on whether you like Wagnerian opera- this qualifies-

I love Wagnerian opera, and I don't think Matrix is very much like it at all... maybe italian opera. ;-)

Do you really? Wagnarian opera mostly makes me tired. I love Italian opera though.

Matrix struck me as Wagnarian because it is very messianic and has a moral message that isn't particularly clear.

I actually liked it because of its operatic quality.
