silly conversation
22 Jun 2004 12:38 pmI have a fondness for gooey sweet red food, such as strawberry and cherry filling and maraschino cherries. The OH occasionally chides me about this. Today I was eating vanilla soft serve with strawberry goo and he started on me. I said, "I like it because I'm a vegetarian vampire."
The conversation continued along a meandering path and wound up at: "Is there such a thing as a goth furry?"

Date: 22 Jun 2004 03:49 pm (UTC)i'll share a secret a south vietnamese friend shared with me - the best cooking tip i ever got:
with every sweet dish a touch of tangy or salty or sour.
with every tangy or salty or sour dish, a touch of sweet.
works every time to "brighten the flavor."
special hint: a good friend swore by cayenne pepper (just a sprinkle, mind you) in his boots in the winter - kept his feet really warm....
i love natural cures - always!
