I have a fondness for gooey sweet red food, such as strawberry and cherry filling and maraschino cherries. The OH occasionally chides me about this. Today I was eating vanilla soft serve with strawberry goo and he started on me. I said, "I like it because I'm a vegetarian vampire."

The conversation continued along a meandering path and wound up at: "Is there such a thing as a goth furry?"

It's a great time of year for that kind of thing, for example hot berry pie with ice cream on top and then more of the brightly-colored pie juice drizzled over the ice cream as well.

As you invited questions recently, I hope it's not too clueless to ask about how diabetes affects this -- if you make the gooey sweet red food with sugar substitutes or just eat a little at a time or what.

I eat a little at a time, and make sure to combine it with foods containing fat and protein.
