Rhodiola rosea?
15 Dec 2007 09:51 amThe OH found an article in Science News about this Russian herb that acts as an antidepressant and general stress reliever. We are not generally big fans of medicinal dietary supplements (although I have used Coffea arabica as an antidepressant and stimulant for decades :-) ) but he seems particularly intrigued by this. Do you have any experience with it?

Date: 21 Dec 2007 06:15 pm (UTC)I feel its effects are significant, but not pronounced. I also feel that when I no longer need it I feel a bit aggressive or a little speedy, so I stop taking it.
Since I'm dealing with a lot of background grief and depression this mild support keeps me feeling more on an even keel without getting weird. I have taken one cap each day and it seems like never for more than about 14 days in a row, then I feel that aggressive/speedy thing and stop.
