8 Jul 2008 10:14 pmI'm at the Los Angeles Airport Marriott for a NAAFA convention.
I drove here. Once I hit LA I realized that although I've visited neighboring areas a number of times and have spent a day or three in LA proper here or there, I've never been here for a solid week.
I probably won't have much time to do anything other than conventioning, but if I were to do something around town, what do you think it should be?

Date: 9 Jul 2008 06:33 am (UTC)What do you like? And it depends on how far afield you want to go (or don't want to).
This stuff is fairly close:
There's obviously the beach; Santa Monica Pier and the 3rd Street Promenade - there's shops, sometimes performers; Venice Boardwalk lots of shops and lots of performers - artists, skaters (who do routines and dance), dancers; there's a nature sort of walk in the Ballona Wetlands (at Lincoln and Jefferson) - it's peaceful; there's a little "Fisherman's Village" in the Maria (del Rey) - touristy but there's some restaurants and there's a harbor tour, you can also rent boats; the Getty Center (free but you have to pay for parking).
