I dunno about "disclose" but daaayyyummm, being trans usually isn't some trivial thing to the person who is. It's usually a big, landmark and overwhelming thing in their lives. (Going by the trans people I know. I concede I may be generalizing from too small a sample). If I were dating someone who turned out to be trans and didn't talk about it, I'd sure wonder about what kind of trust level there was between us.

Yeah, but I presume you wouldn't beat them up or kill them. Plus, I presume you're talking about a potential long-term relationship, not a casual encounter.

I think this also has to do with whether one tends to start dating people they don't already know well. A friend I know well? I'd already know. Somebody I just met? Not necessarily.

These are interesting quotes. I've never thought too much about what I think is right in terms of all that. I guess it didn't matter cause personally, it'd be pretty much impossible to offend me in terms of gender or sexual preference. But its interesting to ponder indeed.
