I know very little about some of the people on my friends' list. Some people I know relatively well. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes spinach."

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal, if you feel like it.

I'm not too bad at rollerskating with 4 wheels forming a rectangle on each foot, since I did that alot as a kid ... but rollerblading is a different matter. I've been known to rollerblade, but I have great difficulty with stopping. So whenever I rollerblade, I end up swinging around signposts and grabbing onto car door handles and purposely falling down in order to avoid killing myself with ever increasing speed.

Probably would help if I didn't rollerblade in San Francisco.

I learned slowing/stopping eventually on 'blades. But I didn't try going down really steep grades. Going down JFK Drive (which has a mild grade) in the Park on Sundays, with dozens of other inexperienced 'bladers, was my most dangerous blading activity. :-)

I did rollerblade in GG Park once, and that was considerably less traumatic. I do pretty well as long as I avoid hills. Hills bring certain embarrassment and possible pain.
